In 1920, an enterprising woman named Mary Love opened what would soon be one of the nation's finest restaurants in the booming town of Columbus, Ohio, name the Maramor. While diners would come from near and far to sample the restaurant's menu, many came for something much simpler: Chocolate.

In 1970, the Sher family closed the restaurant to concentrate fully on the chocolate, continuing to use a recipe developed in 1945. Maramor Chocolates can now be found at Sher-Bliss, a chocolate and wine shop at 1394 Cherry Bottom Road at Morse in Gahanna, Ohio.

Sher-Bliss offers 500+ different varieties of wines from all over the world, some of which can be sampled through its daily wine tasting. Sher-Bliss carries a variety of Californian, French, Italian, Australian and South African wines, most of which are not on your standard wine list or found at the grocery store. Wines are sold at state minimum prices with an additional 10 percent off for case wine purchases. In addition to the wines, Sher-Bliss also carries a unique selection of beer, both domestic and imported. Besides the standard varieties of pilsners, lagers, ales and porters, Sher-Bliss also offers seasonal brews and hard-to-get varieties. To compliment the great selection of wine and beer.

Sher-Bliss offers its signature line of chocolates from Maramor Chocolates in addition to a wide selection of confections. The shop offers single selection from the candy counter as well as custom-designed chocolates for any occasion, such as chocolate-covered wine and champagne bottles. Businesses have the ability to order corporate gifts year round that can be customized with their company's logo or message on the packaging. Businesses and consumers alike can create unique gift baskets for any event made with chocolates, cheeses, wines and beers. But the truly unique item in the shop is its chocolate-dipped fruits. Starting a new tradition, Sher-Bliss now offers chocolate dipped grapes. Once only reserved for strawberries and bananas, Sher-Bliss decided to try dipping grapes in conjunction with the store's opening, blending the savory flavor of chocolate with the crispness of the grape.
